Cleansing Detox Soup You Can Replicate

Cleansing Detox Soup is good to help you cleanse your damaged liver. Here is the recipe to make this wonderful soup.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 of a red onion, diced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, peeled and minced
  • 1 cup chopped tomatoes
  • 1 small head of broccoli, florets
  • 3 medium carrots, diced
  • 3 celery stalks, diced
  • 6 cups water
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • Sea salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 cup purple cabbage, chopped
  • 2 cups kale, torn in pieces

Directions

Bring a large pot of water to a gentle boil over medium heat. Add garlic and onion and cook for about 2 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in fresh ginger, tomatoes, broccoli, carrots, and celery and continue cooking for 3 minutes more. Stir in cinnamon, turmeric, cayenne pepper, sea salt and black pepper.

Add in 1⁄2 cup water and bring the mixture to a rolling boil; reduce heat and simmer for about 15 minutes or until the veggies and tender. Stir in lemon juice, cabbage, and kale during the last 2 minutes of cooking. Serve hot or warm.
